Hey everybody,
First of all, thank you all very much for the lovely reactions! Keep them coming people! :) It was really good to be able to see so many friends last week. Thanks for all the lovely cards! And it was great to be able to celebrate the Vietnamese New Year before I left. I was able to spend some time with my nieces, nephews and cousins, which was great!
I’m at London Heathrow Airport just waiting to board for my flight to South Africa. On the way to London I was thinking about how fast the last six years went by. Exactly six years ago, also on February 12th, I was sitting in a plane headed to India. I was a participant of a project called Going Global of the organization Edukans. I have always been fascinated with development cooperation, but this journey to India really opened my eyes and let me see the other side of our world. It has influenced the choices that I’ve made throughout the last six years and now it’s leading me to South Africa. Actually London at the moment, but you know what I mean.:)
I’m really curious of what this journey will bring me. I know it will be another wonderful experience. I’m really not worried about that. I guess I’m just really impatient at the moment. I just want to live it, instead if wondering and thinking of how it will be. So note to myself: be patient!
Well, I’ve got to get ready to board. I guess the next post will be from South Africa… so see you in Cape Town!
